                              Power In The Gospel

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Romans 1:16).
The power of God to save men is in the Gospel of Christ. "The Gospel" means "Good News." It testifies that Jesus came to bring man out of sin, distress, and trouble, to give him the gift of righteousness and to make him one with Himself. He came to make you a partaker of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). Glory to God!
All a man needs to do, to partake in all that Jesus has made available, is to believe the Gospel. The power of the Gospel only works for those who believe: "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:10). Why is believing so important? It’s because that’s how the human spirit makes contact with God. When a man believes the Word, that God raised Jesus from the dead, and confesses the Lordship of Jesus Christ, he’s automatically made righteous in Christ (Romans 5:1, Romans 10:9).
Titus 1:3 says, God has "…in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour." This is your solemn responsibility. You’re to make the power of the Gospel known through preaching. Let your commitment to the Lord reflect in your dedication to the preaching of the Gospel.
In 1 Corinthians 9:16, Paul the Apostle was emphatic in his commitment to the Gospel; he states: "If I proclaim the Message, it’s not to get something out of it for myself. I’m compelled to do it, and doomed if I don’t!" (MSG). Commit yourself to the preaching of the Gospel today; it’s your number one Kingdom responsibility.

Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the Gospel of Christ through which I have been made your righteousness in Christ Jesus. As I commit myself to preaching the Gospel to my world, let everyone that hears me receive the message with joy, and let every heart open to receive the salvation that your Son has made available to all, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
