HAVE YOU SEEN DAVID?
"Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse ... that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man ... and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him."(1Samuel 16:18)David, the son of Jesse, presents a picture of a balanced youth. He is a well-rounded youth who developed various aspects of his personality. He was skilful in the use of musical instruments. As a brave shepherd by trade, he was so athletic to suggest that he was involved in regular exercise and military training.. He lived a disciplined life and had a personal relationship with God.
What picture do you present to the public? Are you developing yourself in all directions? You can excel by observing the following: (1) Read the Bible and develop yourself intellectually. (2) Endeavour to acquire relevant skill and learn something new every day. (3) Take care of your physical looks, eat balanced diet, exercise and avoid unhealthy habits. (4) Improve your social relationships and make yourself friendly. (5) Have a personal relationship with God. Be born again. Above all, serve God in your school fellowship and local church.
Challenge: Be a well-rounded youth.
Prayer: Lord lift me up to higher ground.
